Welcome to the official website of The Independent Celtic Church International. It is hoped that those who read this website will have many of their questions answered about our mission for the Celtic Faith.
Salvation through Jesus Christ is man's greatest treasure. Our mission seeks to share the joy of this marvelous gift from God, and prays diligently that others also will turn to Jesus Christ in true faith and repentance, thereby experiencing peace with God and man, and receive the gift of eternal life through having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the sharing of the sacraments of his church.
We diligently apply New Testament and Apostolic standards as passed down by Christ to our day. Our Church follows the example that was found within the Ancient Celtic Christian tradition such as honoring the Sabbath through prayer and the Sabbath Meal and celebrating Holy Communion on Sundays, Celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, and loving one another as Christ would love us. We honor men and women as equals allowing both genders to minister at all clergy levels. We also practice a deep reverence toward God and His people in our everyday life and worship. We proclaim the unconditional love and compassion of God, which embraces every person regardless of their state or condition in life. We acknowledge the primacy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit to speak in our day through the senses of the faithful of the Christian Church, leading to a World of love, justice and peace through Christ Jesus Our Lord.
We see ourselves as a direct descendent and expression of the ancient Celtic Churches as well as a Church marching bravely into the future, where the streams of Christian tradition and spirituality converge and flow together. We emphasize the interweaving of the liturgical/sacramental, evangelical and charismatic just as the Celtic Churches expressed themselves in history. We desire and endeavor to reach out to all people as did the Early Celtic Christians.
We believe it is our mission to be the body of Christ, reaching out to those individuals who suffer and are ignored by this World. We follow the example of Jesus in affirming the dignity and respect of all people who seek rest in Him.
